Jim Long and Janice Morris launched the business in 1997 with a firm sense of what Long & Morris Maintenance was to be. They had discovered that a chasm had developed in the janitorial maintenance business and was growing. The large maintenance providers had set their sights on North American wide growth and expansion, while the smaller service providers didn’t have the breadth of operations and professional management to address the needs of the property managers who required cost efficient, dependable and innovative service.

Together, Jim and Janice set forth a vision of building their business on providing professionally managed, highly customized and personal service, that would set them apart from the both the large and small providers. We have experienced tremendous growth by focusing on the needs of facilities management teams in small, medium and large enterprises across the GTA.

Jim explains, “In order to meet the standards of our clients, we have set our quality standards high and in doing so we meet the standards of our clients. It wasn’t luck that sustained us these past 10 years, it was our rigour, focus and discipline in regularly monitoring our service to each client.” By performing in-depth assessments of each facility we focus the efforts of our employees to complete their tasks and develop good relations with our employees. “We’re hands-on, our employees know both Jim and I by first name and they know that they can count on us.” Janice adds, “We have wonderful people and they are fully engaged in the work they do, and that means that they’ll go that much further for the clients. Our customer service is up close and personal.”
